March Madness bracket tournament

We hosted a March Madness tournament bracket on ESPN with $50 cash prizes in total—$25 for the winner of the Men’s bracket and $25 for the Women’s.

SALT group collaboration

We are in ongoing dialogue with Student Affinity and Alliance groups about working on projects together and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at Lakeside.

Palentines

On Valentine’s day, students sent notes of gratitude to anyone they wanted! Palentines: a valentine for a pal.

Hosted on illume, in collaboration with Darrow H. ‘23.

Bite of Lakeside

Bite of Lakeside is an annual event where clubs sell food to fundraise. This year, clubs gathered in Red Square and the portables to raise a total of over $2000!

Clubs Fair

After all this year’s clubs were formed in September, we held clubs fair, an opportunity for clubs to promote themselves and for students to sign up for clubs.

Stressbusters

Stressbusters are fun, small events meant to reduce stress. We host one every month (usually).

Some highlights: In October, we distributed candy bowls across the campus along with teacher bios as fun way to learn more about all our wonderful faculty. In December and January, we served hot cocoa with marshmallows. (kudos to the kitchen staff for preparing that!)

Menstrual Products

We’re continuing to stock and restock menstrual products in all bathrooms. An addition this year: there are finally bins for the menstrual products in men’s bathrooms!

Boo Grams

On Halloween (or the closest school day), we sold boo grams—a note and a piece of candy that we delivered to any person of your choosing.

Coming Home Dance

Lakeside’s first dance of the year! (actually-—the first since the pandemic started) Pulled together just in time for just the second week of school, it was a lively dance filled with music, games, and live social interaction.
